We have five new CITs. In addition to Diana, Izzy, and Trent returning we now have Sonya and Ari (both second time CITs) and Betina, Aja, and Sabrina.
This is Sonya's fourth year at Circle Pines. She comes from Brooklyn, New York and is very excited to once again be working on the end of session Folk Opera! Izzy has informed her that she is very dainty. However, Izzy may not be the best judge. Sonya desperately wants to be funny, but just can't seem to quite get the hang of it.
This is Ari's eighth year at Circle Pines. She is from Oak Park, Illinois. She loves to dance and will be attending Havorford College in the fall. She has a younger brother, Ben, who is a Youthie at camp this year. Ari has recently received a "Caught being Cooperative" slip for not wasting any corn. She achieved this by eating each kernel one at a time.
Betina has been coming to Circle Pines for three years. She is from Detroit, Michigan. She also, loves to dance and will be teaching a contemporary dance class in the fall. Although she is a CIT, our sources have informed us that Betina loves to yell at little kids in her free time.
Also in her fourth year at Circle Pines, Aja just loves it here! Coming from Evanston, IL she LOVES her Bob Dylan and plays softball. She likes to draw and is an amazing artist. Aja loves learning at Circle Pines, she has discovered many new things in her time here. She has gained much knowledge while attending camp.
Sabrina has been attending Circle Pines for three years now. The first two sessions she was a Youthie, but after turning sixteen before third session, she was promoted to CIT and has taken on the new responsibility with grace and style. She loves Silly Bandz, but is considering giving them up for a new passion.
At this point, all eight CIT's have proven their worth and gained their whistles. The knighting ceremony was dignified and honorable and there were quite a few tears shed. All in all this has been and will continue to be a wonderful session and all are looking forward to the up coming Folk Opera this Friday night.
