Harry Potter Day

For the first Unit day last Thursday, CPC was transformed into the magical world of Harry Potter. Campers were taken out of the unit and resorted into the four houses of Hogwarts; Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Slytherin.








The Acorns get sorted into their houses by the Sorting Hat (Margaret).







They spent the morning making wands and other house related crafts, writing a house cheer, testing their taste buds with Bertie Botts and his (Shea's) every flavor beans, and trying to beat Godric Gryffindor (Keith) at wizards chess. Each task gained the houses points and by lunch time Hufflepuff was in the lead.

After sitting down in the great hall for lunch it unfortunately started to rain and afternoon Quidditch had to be postponed until Sunday. But the rousing game of Harry Potter trivia, which put Ravenclaw in the lead for house cup, cheered everyone up.

Then on Sunday, the great Quidditch tournament began. The first match was Gryffindor vs. Slytherin in which Slytherin caught the Snitch and won the round. The second match was Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw in which Hufflepuff won. The final match, Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin, resulted in Hufflepuff winning the Quidditch cup.

Between the points won on Thursday and the points earned from winning Quidditch, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw had a tie for House Cup! But here at Circle Pines everyone wins and has a good time!
